Completing a Takeoff

Go to the navigation menu and then click on Work Orders.

In the content panel, select the project and then expand the work order.

Navigate to the billing item and then click on Edit.

Select the takeoff tool icon.  If the icon is grayed out, that means the unit on the item is not a measurable unit for the takeoff tool.

Select the file.  Only pdf files will be listed in the dropdown.

Then select Calibrate.

Enter the distance that you will measure on the drawing to calibrate the screen.  Then click on Ok.

Select the two points on the print.

Then click on Ok.

Click on each point you want to measure.  On the last point, hold down your control key and then click on the point.

Add the details for the takeoff.  To add additional takeoffs, click on the plus icon.  Once complete, click on Submit Takeoff.

Click Save to add the calculated quantity as the quantity for the billing item.
